He’s such a pansy….

Pansy….well, thank you!  I don’t know how the term pansy began as a negative connotation, but Pansies are quite the contrary. Pansies are one of the hardiest flowers to plant in the fall and they can last up to 8 months. That is a really good deal! Even if we have some winter precipitation, they will come back and look beautiful in the spring! Pansies can also be planted with other flowers that last through the winter, such as begonias, snapdragons and violas.  A mixture of all or a few make a beautiful addition to our dreary and cold weather.
